The design of the 40th & 40th Regional Transportation District train station is designed for both Light-Rail and Commuter Trains.  The main concept of the design is to locate all program requirements on a bridge that connects the communities located on both sides of the station allowing for the easy passenger use.  The tree structure and bridge skin are meant to evoke the idea of movement.  The tree structure allows for the capture of rain water for reuse on site along with creating a vast undulating canopy.  The bridge skin evokes movement by using glass at different angles to create a rippling effect that continues on the sides and underneath the pedestrian bridge.
